Cake Mix Cookies

My adult class was having their final test today, so they asked me last time if we could have a “book finish party” so i said if they did a good job on the test, i would make them cookies. I’m too busy. But, i found a good recipe, and decided to use a cake mix I got for christmas! They LOVED them!  They ate almost all of them before I could take a picture.  There was still one sheet left to cook when I had to start class, and i told my husband, put them in for 12 minutes.  He put them for 20! And he SWORE that I said 20, which I KNOW i did not.  Who would bake cookies for 20 minutes?! Yeesh. Unfortunately they were the only ones left to take a picture of!  The other ones were light colored.
1 package of cake mix (any flavor) <I used white cake>
1 large egg
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of water
1 cup of chopped nuts, raisins, oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chips, M&M’S® etc. (anything you like in cookies)<I added chopped walnuts and coconut to these ones>Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water. Beat until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredient (s).

Drop by teaspoon about 1 inch apart onto greased cooke sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until done.

Makes about 4 dozen. Yummy!
